About the Event

Pick It, Sell It is an exciting and engaging event designed to test your knowledge, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). The event consists of two electrifying rounds that combine technical expertise with innovative thinking. Participants will face challenging quizzes, strategic bidding, and the thrill of pitching their own theoretical product. Showcase your skills and let your ideas shine as you compete to impress the judges and emerge victorious!


Round 1: Quiz Challenge

The first round is a pen-and-paper quiz where participants will flex their technical knowledge in Electronics and Communication. The quiz comprises 20 questions, each carrying 1 mark, and an additional 5 challenging questions, each worth 3 marks. The questions will cover a wide range of topics from ECE, testing your understanding of the field. This round serves as the gateway to the next stage, with only the most knowledgeable participants advancing to the second round.

Round 1 Rules

Pen and Paper Round

Internet usage is strictly not allowed.

Question Format:

20 questions, each carrying 1 mark.
5 additional hard questions, each carrying 3 marks.

Time Limit:

Total duration: 30 minutes.

Round 2: Auction & Product Pitch

The second round brings out the entrepreneur in you! Participants will be presented with a set of components related to ECE, displayed through PPT slides.

- Auction Phase: Bid strategically to acquire these components within a virtual budget. Choose wisely to assemble the most promising combination for your product.

- Product Development: Using the auctioned components, participants must theoretically design a unique product.

- Pitch It: Present your product idea to the judges with a creative and persuasive pitch. Highlight the features, applications, and impact of your innovation.

Round 2 Rules

Auction and Project Development

Each team is allotted a budget (purse value) of ₹25,000.
The list of auction items will be revealed just a few minutes before the auction begins.
The top 2 teams from Round 1 will receive 2 power cards each, which can provide strategic advantages during the auction.

Project Creation:

Teams must use the components purchased during the auction to develop a project.

Presentation:

Teams will prepare a PowerPoint presentation (PPT) to explain their project.
Each team will pitch their project to a panel of judges.

Event Rules

General

Team Size: 2 members max.
All participants must register before the event deadline
Participants should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled session
Professional conduct is expected throughout the event
Recording of sessions is prohibited without prior permission
